The following items were discussed at the May 20th Council meeting:
- The previously announced Capital Campaign is in progress with the Committee applying for a matching grant to the Diocese in May. The campaign is planned to be launched on Sunday, May 31st with a “kick-off” event on Friday, June 19th;
- The next Council question & answer session is planned to occur on Sunday, June 21st after the 10:00 am service;
- The spring cleanup day is scheduled for Saturday, May 30 from 9:00 to noon. All help is welcome;
- Various potential parish hall projects were discussed to be done this summer while the hall is vacant. Possible projects discussed were switching the light switches for the hall to a more convenient location, painting walls and stairwells, floor stripping & waxing and replacing the windows with easier to use and more energy efficient windows. Details have yet to be determined;
- Planning for the June 6th Boulevard sale is well under way. All assistance is welcome, please see the sign-up sheet in the parish hall;
- 2026 is the 50th anniversary of ordination of women as priests in the Anglican church. Council discussed how best to celebrate this within our parish, including the date. Details will be forthcoming.
