Dean Powers
Dean’s poetic reflections span several decades, weaving divine love amidst human struggles. His poems delve into life’s essence, from societal woes to existential ponderings. Influenced by urban life, wilderness adventures since he was 21, and four decades aiding diverse disabilities, his poetry resonates with those grappling with the depths of living on planet earth. He illuminates the journey through vivid imagery, questioning life’s meaning and the prospect of an afterlife.
Niki Katouzian
Niki Katouzian is a Canadian-Iranian visual artist, illustrator, and art creator, currently based in Vancouver, BC. With a Bachelor of Visual Design and a Diploma in Fashion Design, Niki’s artistic journey has been shaped by a deep-rooted passion for creativity, nurtured from childhood in an artistic family. Raised by a visual artist father, Niki was always encouraged to explore and express through art, a support that continues to fuel their work today.
Niki’s professional experiences include an individual painting exhibition in Paris, a group exhibition in Vancouver, and the publication of the illustration book Vancouver’s Soul. As a freelance illustrator and art creator, Niki has collaborated on projects across Canada and Paris, blending personal vision with a deep appreciation for community and culture.
Drawing inspiration from diverse cultures, emotions, the soul of nature, and cultural heritage, Niki’s work reflects a profound connection to the world around them. Grateful for the opportunity to live in Canada, Niki embraces the vibrant multicultural environment as a wellspring of creative influence.
