This is an ongoing series that pairs art from local artists with their reflections on topics of spirituality and faith. Come by St. Faith’s Anglican Church to experience the artist’s work Tuesday-Friday from 9:30 to 4pm or on Sundays.
About The painting
I am inspired by the beautiful flowers I am able to grow in my garden! Painting is just a hobby for me. I started in 1936 at a very young age. I took my first brush stroke after I met Emily Carr and her monkey Woo at a garden party in Victoria. I was also fortunate to have a few lessons from Lawrence Harris. My inspirations come from all the wonderfully nature in British Columbia.
Meet the Artist: Penny Moul
Penny is a long-time member of the Lower Mainland and an avid painter. Drawing inspiration from the world around her, Penny’s art reflects the landscapes of British Columbia as well as scenes from coastal habitats and her own beloved garden in the Gulf islands. Penny also delights in painting pet portraits for family and friends.
Love the iris so beautifully adoring the entrance at St. Faith’s.
