Raising Hearts to Remember

Raising Hearts to Remember is an opportunity for folks to learn about Canada’s Residential Schools while creating a felted heart that will become part of a work that commemorates the missing children of Kamloops and other Residential Schools, holding vigil for them. Participation is free, if you think you might attend, please RSVP to help us plan supplies.

Kerry Baisley, Missioner for Indigenous Justice for the Diocese of New Westminster, will guide us in needle felting to create hearts to add to a collectively made piece that is not a “work of art” but a work of community caring and sharing.

This is a joint gathering for the communities of St. Faith’s Anglican Church and St. Hildegard’s Sanctuary. Light food will be provided for participants.

The event is finished.
