Mission to Seafarers Sunday

On December 7, we will welcome the Rev. Peter Smyth, Chaplain to the Seafarers, to preach at St. Faith’s and will then assemble Christmas care packages for Mission to the Seafarers following worship! These care packages will be distributed to the sailors on the many container ships that are anchored around Vancouver, bringing some light and joy to workers who have been at sea for many months and may be very far away from home.

In preparation for assembling the care packages, we are collecting the following:

• Warm socks
• Gloves
• Small notepads
• Pens
• Toothpaste
• Toothbrushes
• Razors – disposable
• Soaps
• Shampoo/conditioners – travel size
• Playing cards
• Individual granola bars
• Home baking

If you would like to donate some of these items, please make sure to bring them by October 29th, as we will be purchasing any additional needed supplies after that date. In addition, we are inviting folks to bake some homemade cookies which we will include in the care packages.
